Information informs, guides, and empowers; but barriers to access and use can be societally divisive, particularly amongst marginalised and disadvantaged groups.
For the past 2.5 years the University of Strathclyde, funded by the Economic and Social Research Council, has been working in the field with young first time mothers and their support workers, to better understand their information needs and seeking preferences, the barriers and challenges experienced, and how young mothers are best supported to prosper in the digital age.
This event presents and discusses the key findings from this research as part of the release of our public report, Getting it right first time: supporting the Information needs of young mothers.
More information about the event, and how to register, can be found on our Upcoming Events page
